Apprenticeships

Sutton Collegbe Apprenticeship Training

How do Apprenticeships work?

As an apprentice you will work, get paid, gain genuine experience in the workplace, learn new skills and receive a qualification on successful completion of your programme. Apprentices work with their tutor/assessor throughout their apprenticeship to help gain the training necessary to achieve their qualification and develop the skills required to take their career forward.

Apprenticeship programmes are a combination of assessment in the workplace and college-based/work-based learning.

The minimum age for an apprentice is 16 years, but there’s no upper limit and we have helped people of all ages achieve apprenticeship success.

Potential apprentice, not yet employed?

If you feel an Apprenticeship is right for you then there is a helpful government website that can help you find and apply for an apprenticeship vacancy:

https://www.apprenticeships.gov.uk/apprentice/find-an-apprenticeship

On each apprenticeship there will be all the information you need including who your training provider will be.

Already employed but want to upskill?

f you are working but wish to upskill and continue your education then an Apprenticeship could be the ideal route for you. It will offer you a combination of practical skills with theoretical knowledge, helping you to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Speak to your employer about how you can upskill through an apprenticeship with Sutton College as your Training Provider.
