Coronavirus and Online Learning

Keep Learning Summer Curses

Following the Department for Education and Public Health England’s advice on social distancing in relation to COVID-19, the decision was made to close Sutton College Centres for face to face learning from the evening of the 18th of March 2020.

We have looked into a number of ways that courses can be delivered online and have in many instances successfully achieved this. Details on our Summer Term courses can be found by clicking on the icon on the right. All courses will be delivered in an online format.

If you are enrolled on a course that is due to run on from the Spring term into the Summer term:

With the support of our tutors and learners, we have been able to deliver many of our courses online prior to the Easter break.  Due to the extended lockdown, it is our intention to continue with online delivery for the majority of accredited courses, so that we can help our learners achieve their qualifications and meet their goals.

As a result of the current situation the start of term has been delayed to the week beginning 11th of May and the two weeks will be added to the end of the course you are currently enrolled on, ensuring you are still receiving the same learning time.

Your tutor will be in contact with you to discuss the process for online learning.

Our tutors and staff have been working throughout this period to adapt their teaching for online delivery and we hope you will continue to enjoy your course.

If you are enrolled on a course that is due to start in the Summer Term and it will now be delivered online:

You will shortly hear from College staff via email to advise that your course will be taking place in an online format. If you have not heard anything, please contact enrol@suttoncollege.ac.uk or call Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm 0208 405 7051 / 0208 405 7059

If you are enrolled on a course that is due to start in the Summer Term but it cannot be delivered online:

If your course has been cancelled and you are due a refund, this will be processed automatically and may take approximately 21 days. (Cash and PDQ payments cannot be refunded at this time and will be actioned when the College reopens). The refund will be for classes which were due to be delivered from 27 April 2020.

If you have provided us with an email address, you will shortly receive an email confirming the refund process.

Any enquiries regarding refunds should be sent to enrol@suttoncollege.ac.uk
