Sutton College has a long-standing reputation as an excellent provider of Teacher Training, Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, and Early Years (TA)  courses. Many students use their studies with the college to retrain or start new careers, or to enhance their professional experience and skillset.

Sutton College continues to offer the popular Supporting Teaching and Learning Levels 2 and 3, alongside the introduction to this area via the new ‘Preparing To Work In Schools Level 1 Award (NCFE) (Online Course)’ for those considering entry into the industry. We have also introduced a short “Finding a Placement in Education” course which helps our Level 1 learners find the placements they need to progress to Level 2.  Our suite of initial and further qualifications in teaching adults has been updated to reflect industry with a new ‘Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties Level 2’ course also accredited by NCFE CACHE.

We have a vocationally based introduction into a career in Childcare with our NCFE CACHE courses from our Level 1 Caring for Children up to the Level 3 Early Years Educator. In terms of widening career and personal growth opportunities, our courses see the opportunity for employers to partner with us to develop more home grown staff to work and support local schools and other education providers. We all want to encourage those who might be involved in training or supervising others that might want to stretch their skills further.  Experienced tutors and assessors with excellent success rates will support and guide you along the way.

All our courses are set up to give you the opportunity to study at a pace that suits you, as well ensuring that you are fully supported by the college from the moment you enrol online or in our centre, through to your tuition from experts in their field, to progression opportunities onto other courses. All our courses are taught with you in mind and supporting you to either progress to further studies, upskill existing skills/knowledge or purely for personal enjoyment and wellbeing.
