Course Title: Art History Club - When Art and Science Connect - Art and Climate Change

Enjoy a stimulating talk on a key period or a key figure in Art History, delivered by one of our Art History specialists in a relaxed classroom environment. This talk is one of a series of History talks we offer at Sutton College on a weekly/fortnightly basis.

Purpose of Course

John Ruskin, is known as one of the most influential art critics and personalities in British art. A visual artist himself, his knowledge, interest and impact are also greatly linked to Science, especially meteorology and geology, being one of the first people, along with a few scientists of his time, to express concerns on glacier retreat, the effects of pollution, and climate change.
