Learning Aim: Z0002104
Some believe that in addition to reducing stress, playing the drums can boost brain power, develop confidence and improve academic achievement. This workshop introduces you and your child/ren to the Djembe drum.
Family Learning courses are designed to provide parents, grandparents, carers and their children an opportunity to learn together.

One of the great things about djembes is that you can have fun with the music even as a beginner.
You will learn the history of the Djembe, how to play a traditional West African Djembe song and perform as a soloist making your own rhythms. You will be working as a group and closely with your child/ren to learn and improve.
