The environmental benefits of upcycling are huge, minimising the volume of discarded materials and waste being sent to landfill each year. This course gives you and your child/ren the skills to upcycle your favourite items in your wardrobe.
Family Learning courses are designed to provide parents, grandparents, carers and their children an opportunity to learn together.
Purpose of Course
Repairing an item and giving it a new life is a great skill and a wonderful feeling.
You and your child/ren will create unique items by upcycling your current wardrobe .
On this course you and your child/ren will:
- Take part in an upcycling class project/s.
- Learn and perfect hand stitching techniques.
- Create your own unique embellishments for your project/s.
- Transform garments
The course will also cover health and safety issues.
On this course, you will also develop the following life skills
