What is this course about?

Join our productive fashion department and start sewing with Sutton College where you’ll be supported to design and make a garment from scratch, alter

something you already have or complete a sewing project you had previously started

and lacked motivation or skills to complete.

Making your own garments is very satisfying and the sense of pride and accomplishment felt when an item is completed is gratifying. Take your next steps

with our friendly clothes making classes where our experienced teachers are waiting

to help you achieve your goals.

What will we cover?

How to use a sewing machine effectively

Alterations, hems, seams, pockets, measurements, garment construction

Making fabric choices

Fabric manipulation

Pattern alterations for the perfect fit

Do I need any skills for this course?

You do not need any previous experience or qualifications to enrol onto this course, all abilities welcome.

Additional information

As this is a practical course, you will need to bring your own sewing kit.
