Title of course Flamenco Dance (Onsite or Online)
Sessions on this course will be delivered onsite and live-streamed to learners wishing to access remotely. You can choose how you access this course but we request that you remain as either an onsite or online learner for the duration of the course (unless you have a valid reason to change such as needing to self-isolate). Details of how to access the first online session will be sent to you via email within 24 hours of the course start date. An induction on your course will be provided for all learners and you will be supported every step of the way.
Ever wished you could embody the power and fierce beauty of Flamenco dance? In this fun-filled and dynamic class, you will learn to dance with confidence and panache. The multicultural origins of Flamenco will be described, and you will have the chance to complete the course performing a short fiesta-style routine in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

This is a physically active course but the class is flexible to allow students to work at their own pace and level.

What level is this course & what skills do I need?
The Flamenco Dancing course is suitable for men and women of all ages at beginner level as well as for those with some previous knowledge and experience. The class will consist of a mixed group, with some students embarking on dance for the very first time, whilst others may be returning to this course to continue with their development.
Is a course approval interview/assessment required?
Please wear shoes or boots with a small strong heel – no stilettos, no sandals, no trainers and not barefoot.
The tutor will offer advice and guidance as & when the time comes for you to want to invest in Flamenco shoes/skirt (women) and boots/waistcoat (men)
Please ensure you have a bottle of water with a secure lid with you.
What are the progression opportunities at the end of this course?
Each term, this Flamenco Dancing course focuses on different steps, technique exercises and choreography routines; this offers variety and fresh challenges to any students wishing to return to this course: it enables them to consolidate basics and to develop knowledge, movement quality, accuracy, style and pace.
This course will also prepare the mind and body for a number of alternative exercise or dance course styles, for example, Zumba Gold, Ballet, Exploring Contemporary Dance and more.
