Course Information

What are the overall aims of the course?

The overall aim of this course is to enable students to use Sage Payroll Software to enter Employer and Employee records.

What will I learn on the course?

On this course, you will learn how to:

Identify the differences of Company's PAYE reference and payment account references
Record Gross Pay and Net Pay with Salary to date
Use the right category of NI contributions for employees and employer
Identify the differences and significant of Tax Codes
Practice and produce the calculations in Tax and NI contributions
Calculate Statutory Pay in SSP, SMP, SAP & SPP
Explain what General Pension Schemes are
Record and produce forms such as P45, P46, and P60
Enter employee records and personal bank details
Run weekly / monthly salary and produce payslips
Produce Summary Statement weekly / monthly for the company
Produce required year end forms and RTI - real time information
Update payroll data
Run weekly or monthly payroll systems
Process payments and produce salary payslips
Check total from Summary Statement
Calculate Statutory Pay in SSP, SMP, SAP & SPP
Explain what General Pension Schemes are
Record and produce forms such as P45, P46, and P60
Produce required year end forms
