This compulsory unit is a part of the ITQ Office Skills Level 2 Certificate.
This is not a study unit - more a project.
What are the overall aims of the course?
The purpose of this unit is to reinforce the learning of the other units studied in this qualification course. The project should incorporate each unit of study in a real-life enterprise which can be fact or fiction.
The important thing is that it is realistic.
What will I learn on the course?
You will learn how to use the software studied in real-life situations.
Are there any entry requirements?
You must have studied the other units to make sense of this unit.
Do I need to attend a course approval interview/assessment before I can join this course?
YES - but this will have already been undertaken for the qualification as a whole and not this unit in particular.
How will I be taught?
You will not be taught in this unit at all, but you will receive a lot of advice as to how to proceed and succeed.
How will my progress be checked?
You will be required to submit an electronic portfolio of work to your assessor.
You will receive feedback throughout the project.
Does the course have any features I should be aware of?
This is a project and a compulsory unit to qualify for the level 2 Office Skills Certificate.
This course is a ‘Flexible Learning’ course, which means you will not be attending College at set times.
Your tutor will agree with you the times when you will be required to attend tutorials/assessment or advice sessions.
What do I need to bring with me to class?
This project can be undertaken at home, work or in the iCLICK Centre in the College.
You will have your own folder into which to store your files and the work will be submitted by email to your tutor.
You can buy additional hours of tuition if you require them through our ‘One to One Tuition’ course.
How do I find out if I can get some support for my learning?
Additional Learning Support (ALS) may be made available for learners who, at the time of assessment and/or enrolment, declare a difficulty or disability that may affect their learning. Our service can support learners in English, maths, who are dyslexic, deaf or hearing impaired or who have evidence of other medical issues impacting on learning.
