Oil Painting Techniques - Peter Blundell
Using the history of painting as a reference you will learn from analysing the techniques and styles of great painters, which may include contemporary artists (Peter Doig, Marlene Dumas, Joan Eardley), modern artists (Van Gogh, Cezanne) and old master artists (Rembrandt, Velasquez).
Purpose of Course
The aim of the course is to be a guide to using different approaches to using paint, so that you can take what you need to help develop your individual ways of painting.
You will learn from following a structured course that includes demonstrations, one to one tuition as well as class feedback.

This course is suitable for learners all levels.
Is a course approval interview/assessment required?
You will need to provide your own materials. A list of materials is provided at the start of the course. For those just starting the course the cost of materials will be approx. £50 as you will learn how to use a limited amount of colours.
What are the progression opportunities at the end of this course?
Many students remain on the course as each year the course is different and is structured so that all continue to keep on improving whatever abilities and experience.
The course can be used to develop a personal folder for those who wish to apply for a foundation or to do a degree.
