This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to Teachers, Child Minders, Crèche Assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award. This course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED.
Purpose of Course
This course runs over a minimum of 12 hours making up these two units consisting of theoretical and practical work. In order to achieve this qualification, you must attend all the sessions and complete the 2 units of accreditation.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FIRST AID TRAINING IS NOW COMPULSORY FOR ALL NEW NURSERY RECRUITS

Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Resuscitation • Choking
Control of bleeding and shock • Head injuries • Fractures
Eye injuries • Foreign bodies in ears and nose • Heat and cold
Infantile convulsions • Meningitis
Asthma • Diabetes
Burns • Poisons • Anaphylaxis
This is a class-room based course but will involve some demonstration and some practical activities. Please wear comfortable clothing for practical activities
