Singing is an amazing way to raise the spirits and group singing can work wonders towards increasing wellbeing, building confidence and improving memory function. Our Spring into Song course aims to introduce beginners to the joys of singing in a group and further develop the skills of those who have some experience. The emphasis is on singing together for pure enjoyment.
Purpose of Course
You will learn to develop your enjoyment of singing through a range of musical styles and there will be some focus on gentle movement, breathing and short, vocal exercises to increase memory capacity and confidence.
On this course, you will develop the following life skills

What level is this course & what skills do I need?
This is an all abilities class for adults who wish to experience the joy of singing. Beginners with no prior musical experience are welcome as are learners with experience.
Is a course approval interview/assessment required?
All learning materials are provided.
What are the progression opportunities at the end of this course?
You may progress to other music and performance arts courses at Sutton College or you may like to develop your new skills by joining community choirs and groups.
