What are the overall aims of the course?
Toddler Sing & Sign Time will develop your child’s love and appreciation of music through singing, movement and playing musical instruments. You will also learn some British Sign Language (BSL) signs for your toddler to use as they speak to help them communicate any words they cannot yet say or pronounce clearly.
What will I learn on the course?
Each class will be fun and relaxed and full of catchy songs and rhythms for your little one to sing along, dance and move around to. There will be round-the-room marching, galloping, chugging, jumping, stomping, and whatever movement goes with the weekly theme! They will also have fun playing along with the many melodies and rhythms using all sorts of percussion instruments such as bells, tambourines and shakers.
The BSL signs we learn will improve the communication between you both and bridge the gap until they are able to say all the words. This can reduce their frustration and the tears and tantrums that sometimes follow when they are unable to fully express themselves.
They will be entertained by plenty of colourful toys, props and puppets and we will focus on fun educational themes each week such as: Colours; Under the Sea; Farm Animals; Transport; Family; Feelings & Emotions and lots more.
Family Learning courses are designed to provide parents, grandparents, carers and
their children an opportunity to learn together
