Sutton College’s Family Learning Programme offers families the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge, support their children’s learning, meet other families and have fun together! It is a great way for adults to learn together with their children and understand how they learn and how to encourage and motivate them whilst improving your own skills and confidence.
Our free and low cost family activities are delivered in venues across the Borough as well as our main centres.
Popular courses include: Little Learners: English and maths, Family Science, Ballet, Music & Movement, Baby and Toddler Signing and Family First Aid. We also offer ‘One Step Ahead’ courses aimed at helping parents back to work.
In schools and children’s centres, the courses aim to help parents support their children’s education and build school readiness and support education – usually focusing on maths, English and/or language skills.
There is also a range of workshops exclusively for families with children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
Sutton College continues to offer Kids Club holiday activities for children aged 6 to 11 years as well as our family workshops for all ages. The Kids Club includes exciting science, dance and theatre, clay and craft workshops.
