Supported Learning SEND Department

Sutton College SEND Department

Please ask about our range of courses for learners with special educational needs and disabilities from the age of 19 to an age when you no longer want to learn.

We give you every opportunity to do well and achieve your goals, whatever they may be. With increased confidence, you will be supported to consider your next steps in education, skills, wellbeing or employment progression.

If you are aged between 19 and 25 with an Education Healthcare Plan (EHCP), we are able to build an individualised curriculum that will work toward building your life skills leading to greater independence, meaningful employment, or both.

You can enrol onto enrichment classes for physical or mental wellbeing such as exercise, singing, art, dance, drama, pottery, sewing and beauty through which you can exhibit your work or join in performances.

All learners either get the opportunity to participate in work experience or community environmental projects where you can hone your social and employability skills.

Our commitment to supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities sits firmly within the college’s strategic plan.

Sutton College is an inclusive college where learners with SEND are valued and nurtured to be the best they can be.

Book and information advice and guidance session where you can discuss your aspirations and have a trained member of staff work with you to identify your options and decide the next steps you can take.
