Autumn Courses at Sutton College are out now!

The new programme of Autumn online courses from Sutton College has been launched this week. Courses from September will include qualifications in areas such as accounting, photography and textiles as well as classes to improve skills, hobbies and wellbeing.

The College has launched details of its part-time and evening courses starting from September on its website adhering to current Government guidance on face to face learning with therefore, a large majority of classes planned to be delivered in an online format.  The 20/21 programme will consist of a mixture of online courses with a limited number on site and some a mixture of both online and in the classroom.

Whilst the centres are not currently open to the public, when it opens for classes Sutton College has implemented safe distancing at sites, reorganised class layouts and sizes appropriately and, like all organisations has screens, sanitisers and extra cleaning regimes in place.

Summer term students reported that using online classroom facilities improved their IT skills whilst also keeping them in touch with classmates and their tutors.

The College does however acknowledge that online learning is not for everyone and has put several processes in place to support those who may not be able to access online learning or feel they need guidance to do so.

College Principal Dipa Ganguli said ‘We have developed a programme that is accessible to all and that will enable students to learn via various delivery methods. We’ve been looking at options for both continued online delivery as well as the return to classroom based learning plus strengthened support systems for students to ensure that you feel confident and supported throughout your studies with us.’
