Big Turnout for Big Event

The College hosted it’s community focussed BIG event in Manor Park on Saturday 8 September and entertained a huge number of visitors.
A constant stream of people made their way to the park to have a great family day out and basque in the glorious sunshine.

There were over 40 stalls to peruse with things to buy, demonstrations to watch and activities to take part in and delicious food to enjoy. Children enjoyed meeting the local fire brigade, face painting, sports games and storytime sessions. The dog show was as popular as last year, attracting a huge crowd and entertainment was expertly provided again by Radio Marsden. The crowd were treated to singing, dance demos and even Kendo martial art displays. Visitors also spent time talking to curriculum areas, finding out more about the College and our huge range of courses.

The event, run in collaboration with the LBS Park team is one of the many ways that SCOLA is working with partners to bring us closer to the communities we have served for the last 40 years.
