Black History Month 2011
To celebrate Black History Month in October, SCOLA has several fun activities to get involved in:
“I Have a Dream…” Story Competition.
Entrants must write a 400 word story*, with the opening line “I have a dream…”
Entrants must be 16 years or over
1st Prize £50 SCOLA voucher
Judging panel will be arranged by SCOLA. All entries must sent into SCOLA by Friday 28 October 2011
* Photographic, Film and Artisitic equivalent entries will also will be accepted.
Drumming, Stories & Crafts Workshop – FREE
Tuesday 25th October at SCOLA Sutton Centre/ Sutton Children’s Library
1pm & 2pm (ages 5 – 11)
SCOLA in partnership with Sutton Libraries & The Gary Mason Charity present a fun story & crafts session & an introductory drumming session.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 2 children per adult.

Fun Computing & Story Workshop – FREE
Thursday 27th October at The Phoenix Library
10.30am till 12.30pm (ages 6 – 11)
SCOLA in partnership with Sutton Libraries presents a fun story session and a craft session, designing your own book cover or poster.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum of 2 children per adult.
