Our Christmas Festival was held on Saturday 30th November at Sutton College (SCOLA) helping to raise money for The Radio Marsden Charity – who need £50,000 to replace ageing equipment or they will be forced to stop broadcasting.

Children could visit Santa and receive a little Christmas treat or enjoy some of our free Craft activities including making your own Christmas tree decoration.

Christmas shoppers were treated to an array of stalls inside Sutton College’s main arena. Unusual handcrafted Christmas gifts could be purchased, ranging from decorations and jewellery to wooden toys and scented candles, as well as a range of appetizing treats available including delicious Japanese food, beautiful cupcakes and fine Italian foods. Respected artist Abel Kesteven and caricaturist Ric Machin provided amusing and original artwork for sale.

We had a terrific turn-out with over 500 visitors and we were delighted to raise more than £300 for the Radio Marsden Charity and we will continue to sell tickets for our Charity Raffle at our Sutton Centre for this worthy cause!

Prizes in the raffle include a Family day pass for Hobbledown, a signed copy of Tim Vine’s “Book of Silliness”, Bowling for the Family at Sutton Superbowl including a meal afterwards, Beauty set from Boots, Disney Christmas puzzle from Piece By Piece in Sutton, £50 voucher from Bricks & Mortar, £50 voucher from Home Pictures Photography and many more! Tickets are available from our Sutton Centre reception; 50p each or five for £2! The draw will take place 19/12/13..

SCOLA’s new Spring/Summer course is out now!
