Funding for Local Community Groups Launches Today!

4 May 2021

Are you part of a local Community Group that could benefit from some funding?

Sutton College may be able to help by offering community groups the opportunity to bid for funding to help run activities that meet the Greater London Authority and the Education and Skills Funding Agency targets including: first steps engagement, employability, social cohesion, mental and physical wellbeing and digital inclusion.

We are seeking to support projects and ways of working that can provide people with their ‘first step’ into learning, increase confidence and motivation and an ability to access further learning opportunities. It is widely recognised that the community and voluntary sector can provide some of the most innovative ways of providing learning opportunities to groups that have traditionally been hard to engage and we are hoping to partner with this sector to put on some exciting new learning programmes.

We are especially interested in supporting projects concerned with helping our community back into employment following the Covid-19 epidemic.

If you have a project you would like us to consider, please complete the Expression of Interest form in the first instance.  You will then be invited to an online meeting where more information will be given.

Please complete the Expression of Interest form on our website at www.suttoncollege.ac.uk/college/community-learning

Closing date for Expressions of Interest:  Friday 4th June 2021

Information meeting for new partners:   Tuesday 15th June 2021

Closing date for applications:   Friday 23rd July 2021
