The Art Auction held at the College last night was a resounding success with all of the prints and paintings being sold and a great evening had by all.
Auctioneer and College Patron Tim Vine did a fantastic job of keeping the atmosphere buzzing and the bids flowing. Some exciting large bids were made on artists unfamiliar to the College and bargains were also purchased.
The prints and paintings, many donated to the College over the last 40 years, were sold to raise money for charity as well as the College, who will reinvest the funds to improve the student experience and create more learning opportunities.
Attendees enjoyed a great evening full of laughs and left happy, many with more than one piece of art that will now be given pride of place in local homes and given the attention that they fully deserve.
Ticket sales will be donated to Radio Marsden and donations on the night plus 10% of all sales will be donated to The Cure Parkinsons Trust.
