Lifelong Learning Week 2021
Lifelong Learning Week, part of the Festival of Learning, takes place 8-12 November this year.
It aims to highlight the benefits of learning, celebrate achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives, and to encourage and inspire others to learn.
The Festival of Learning is run by Learning and Work Institute and the campaign started in 1992 as Adult Learners’ Week.
Sutton College has, throughout the years, put on various taster courses, displays, demonstrations and workshops to help showcase the positive and transformational impact that adult learning can have.
This year we will be releasing a new video featuring some of our wonderful students telling us what learning means to them. We will be using our social media to spread the love about learning too and also holding online Meet The Manager sessions throughout the week where students can feedback directly to senior managers at the College.
To end the week the annual Festival of Learning 2022 awards will be launched. A chance for inspiring adult learners, tutors, provision and employers to be recognised for their hard work and dedication. Sutton College has had regional and national winners in the past and look forward to being part of this celebration of achievement once more this year. More information on the nomination process will follow soon.
