SCOLA Principal part of British Quality Foundation assessment team
The Principal received feedback from Interserve Construction Limited who, as part of a team, she assessed for the British Quality Foundation (BQF) 2012 UK Excellence Awards. Richard Jones from Interserve said “I believe we have benefitted from embedding the European Framework for Quality Management (EFQM) model into our business processes and progressing from Investors in Excellence through the Level of Excellence to the UK Awards process. The learning at each stage of the journey is invaluable.
Our assessment team provided us with every opportunity to demonstrate our strengths in terms of the excellence model. The assessment documentation was just a starting point and I know our people who came into contact with the team were impressed by the depth of their questioning. Construction, for the lay person, is not the easiest industry to get your head around, we are truly special in that regard. I was particularly impressed on how quickly the team got to grips with what we do and how we do it.
As you would expect from any BQF team they were professional, courteous and made the whole experience for our people one that they enjoyed.”
SCOLA is embedding the foundations and principles of the European Framework for Quality Management (EFQM) and hopes to enter for a Recognised for Excellence Assessment in the 2013-14 academic year. For more information about BQF click on the link http://www.bqf.org.uk/
