SCOLA Sutton College welcomes new patron Tim Vine

Comedian Tim Vine joins SCOLA, Sutton College as our newest patron.

At the ‘Showtime’ event in July , host Tim Vine accepted the role and joins actress June Whitfield CBE and presenter David Jacobs CBE as patrons of SCOLA.

Tim hosted the evening of entertainment to a sell out audience at the Secombe Theatre, celebrating 40 years of the Adult Learning College and featuring performances from students, staff and supporters.

The audience were treated to performances from singers, dance groups, a magician and drummers throughout the evening, as well as hilarious jokes and antics from the new College patron.

Tim, about to embark on his ‘Chat Show’ tour stated ‘I am extremely happy to be SCOLA’s new patron. They are doing wonderful work in the local area and I grew up around here so am all the more delighted to have been asked.’ He added ‘SCOLA has been around for 40years and if you don’t know what they do, it is mind boggling the wide variety of courses they offer. I keep meaning to do the Mandarin course, afterall, who wouldn’t want to talk to fruit.’
