SCOLA working with ‘Enjoy Sutton’ to bring you the BIG Event!
SCOLA, Sutton College’s ‘BIG Event’ will return to Manor Park in September, promising to be bigger and better than ever.
The free community event, sponsored by Enjoy Sutton, now in its fourth year, attracts thousands of visitors to Manor Park in Sutton where they find stalls, entertainment and activities.
Last year, visitors wandered around the 50 stalls, watched various displays and demonstrations and children enjoyed free craft activities.
The event promises to be bigger and better this year with more craft and gift stalls, exciting new activities and entertainment including a ‘Bake Off’ in aid of Radio Marsden, who will be hosting again and ensure that a fun day is had by all. The army will be making an appearance as well as the police marking up cycles and there will be the chance to handle some exotic animals too.
The academic areas for the College will run attractions including taster sessions, exercise and sports games, competitions and health and beauty treatments providing a great way to try something new. College staff will also be around to answer queries and advise on what the local College has to offer.
Run in collaboration with Enjoy Sutton and the London Borough of Sutton, the event is one of many ways that SCOLA is working to bring what the College has to offer to the communities it has served for over 40 years.
Ross Feeney, Chief Executive Successful Sutton said:
“We are delighted to be supporting the SCOLA Big Event through our Enjoy Sutton campaign. SCOLA has an important role in both the town centre and across Sutton and should be commended for their commitment to the community. There will be lots going on in the high street, and in Manor Park, and I encourage everyone to come down, have a great afternoon and enjoy Sutton”.
The BIG Event will be held on Saturday 6th September in Manor Park, Sutton from 11am – 3pm, FREE entry.
