Staying in Touch with Sutton College – new Data Protection information
Data privacy law is changing and if you would like to be kept informed of the latest news, special offers and developments at Sutton College, we need to hear from you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 May 2018 and will replace the current Data Protection Act. As all organisations should, Sutton College has been working towards compliance under this new regulation, with the support of the Information Commissioners’ Office, the London Borough of Sutton and also the Education & Skills Funding Agency.
The protection and privacy of your information is a top priority for Sutton College, and we have always complied with all required data protection regulations (please see our policy page), and will continue to do so. Our funding body, the ESFA (the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Department of Education (DfE)) also need to know if they can contact you for other purposes as detailed here in their privacy notice.
Students and interested parties alike are being asked, via email if we already have your details or upon enrolment to please let us know if you would like to stay in touch with the College. You can also do so HERE by just ticking a couple of boxes.
We hope to stay in touch and that we can continue to let you know about exciting developments and news from the College.
