Sutton College Big Event 2015
Sutton College’s ‘BIG Event’ will return to Manor Park in September, promising to be bigger and better than ever.
The free community event, supported by Enjoy Sutton, now in its fifth year, attracts thousands of visitors to Manor Park in Sutton where they find stalls, entertainment and activities.
Last year, visitors wandered around the 50 stalls, watched various displays and demonstrations and children enjoyed free craft activities.
The event promises to be bigger and better this year with more craft and gift stalls, exciting new activities and entertainment from ‘King Ramps’, who will be providing a skateboard ramp & providing workshops and also demonstrations from professional riders. Radio Marsden will be hosting again and ensuring that a fun day is had by all. The army will be making an appearance as well as the police marking up cycles and also children entertainment/activities will be taking place with the return of Nerf Wars Challenge and bouncy castles and craft activities.
The academic areas for the College will be running ‘The Challenge’ for you to try, so come and test your skills, providing a great way to try something new. Challenge topics include Sports & Exercise, Technology, Arts & Crafts, Health & Beauty, History and lots more. College staff will also be around to answer queries and advise on what the local College has to offer.
Run in collaboration with Enjoy Sutton and the London Borough of Sutton, the event is one of many ways that Sutton College is working to bring what the College has to offer to the communities it has served for over 40 years.
The BIG Event will be held on Saturday 5th September in Manor Park, Sutton from 11am – 3pm, FREE entry.
