The Sutton College Christmas Concert was a huge success and a great time was had by all.
The audience were treated to performances from various groups from the College, including the Sutton College Choir and the flamenco dance class. Music was also provided by the Ukulele and Guitar groups as well as the Phoenix Concert Band.
The concert, organised by John Steel (Conductor to the Choirs) and Kevan Samwells (Curriculum Manager for Performing Arts at Sutton College) , was attended by nearly 100 students, families and friends of the performers. The annual Christmas event celebrates the hard work and talents of many music and dance classes and gives groups the chance to plan, learn and perform pieces to an audience.
Carols were sung and the atmosphere was festive, with a great community feel throughout. Kevan Samwells said ‘ It was great to see so many groups coming together to produce such a varied programme that showcases the variety of courses that the College has on offer.’
