Sutton College End of Year Art & Craft Show showcases Fantastic Student Work

5 June 2019

The Sutton College Art & Craft End of Year Show was officially opened last night by the Mayor of Sutton.

This fantastic exhibition of student work, held in the gallery at Sutton Library, showcases a huge array of work created by talented Sutton College students. Pieces in the exhibition range from Watercolour scenes, pottery and ceramic sculpture to lace and calligraphy creations. There are also some beautiful floral displays from the floristry department plus jewellery, stained glass and photography.

Brendan Murphy, Head of Art at Sutton College, said ‘Without exception, the quality of the work is outstanding and is testament to the amazing work our tutors do and the progress that our learners have made across this academic year. ‘

The College offers a huge range of Art & Craft courses and workshops as part of its evening and part-time courses and qualifications in a varied range of subjects. The College has just launched its new programme for the academic year 19/20 and is also running a Summer College of short courses in July.

The exhibition is open now until June 22nd in the second floor gallery at Sutton Library. Full listings of all courses available at Sutton College can be found at www.suttoncollege.ac.uk
