Sutton College Tutor Earns Prestigious Pottery Position

18 October 2017

We are delighted to share the news that Fay De Winter, one of our Senior Ceramics Tutors at Sutton College, has been voted to be London Potters new chair person.

London Potters is a voluntary organisation formed in 1986 to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences of all those involved with or interested in ceramics. It is the only London-based society offering membership to both professional and non-professional ceramicists; all its members are united by the appreciation of ceramic art and a desire to further their knowledge and communicate with fellow ceramic artists and collectors.

The society’s aims and objectives:

♦  Help members achieve a more critical awareness of their own skills.
♦  Provide a showcase to promote their work through regular exhibitions and the newsletter.
♦  Increase their knowledge in the field and promote exchange of ideas and experiences through workshops, talks and slide shows.
♦  Promote, maintain, improve and advance the education and appreciation of ceramics in all its aspects via publicity and all activities above mentioned.

We would like to extend our congratulations and wish Fay every success with this prestigious appointment.
