Working together to ‘Keep London Learning’
Working together to ‘Keep London Learning’
Sutton College, along with Adult & Community Learning providers in 12 other London Boroughs, has launched a collection of free learning opportunities for students as part of the ‘Keep London Learning’ initiative.
The project, supported by the Mayor of London is the coming together of London Adult Education providers to offer a ‘one stop shop’ for adult learning.
Despite London’s population, many employers are facing skills gaps. 28,300 London employers report that not all their employees have the right skills for the job. Almost a quarter (23 per cent) of all vacancies in London are due to a lack of applicants with the right skills, while almost half of firms (42 per cent) are not confident they will be able to recruit people with the higher-level skills their organisation needs over the next five years.
Devised as a response to the Covid-19 outbreak, this exciting partnership brings the wealth of opportunities at the services together on one website: https://keeplondonlearning.com/
The borderless approach allows London residents to find their perfect course quickly. Many courses offer the option of studying online with support from tutors making it even easier to study.
