Springboard offers an extensive range of courses for adults with learning disabilities. The curriculum is divided into three distinctive pathways to enable learners to develop their skills in particular areas. The 3 pathways are:
We also provide courses in dance, drama and advocacy which are delivered by three well-known and highly respected local organisations. SliDe Dance Company, the Baked Bean Theatre Company and Advocacy4All, all offer high quality courses for our students in collaboration with Springboard.
Students can choose courses from 1, 2 or all 3 pathways. Every course is designed as part of a two-tiered system which can be delivered for students with varying degrees of cognitive and communicative abilities. Courses are alternated each year to give all students the opportunity to enrol. Every student will be asked to complete an initial assessment before choosing their courses to ensure that the courses suit their individual needs.
For those students wishing to work towards mainstream courses, we also have a new range of courses entitled Springboard: Launch. These are shorter 10 week courses which will endeavour to prepare students for higher level learning or employment.
Launch courses include self, development, work skills and IT.
To enrol on any Springboard course, please call the curriculum manager on 020 8289 4700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org . Where spaces are available on courses, potential students will need to contact the curriculum manager for an initial assessment and interview.
