Art & Craft Technician (Ceramics Specialism)

(18 hours a week X 52 Weeks)

Scale Points 18 – 25 on the LBS NJC pay grade

£20,667 – £24,999 pro-rata

Sutton College is seeking a suitably experienced art & craft technician, with a ceramics specialism. Experience and relevant qualifications are essential.

Duties include – firing work, ordering and preparation of glazes, materials  etc. clay reclaim, studio preparation, preparing Risk Assessments for creative arts courses, distribution and stock control of equipment and resources across the sites, regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment and practical skills areas along with supporting the work of the teaching team.

Casual Sites Supervisor

Sutton College is looking for a site supervisor to join our team on an adhoc basis to provide cover at both our Sutton and Wallington sites.

We are seeking a practical, well-motivated person to carry out effective caretaking support, portering, security and maintenance within the College ensuring that day-to-day running is efficient and avoids wastage.

Successful applicants will have a ‘can do’ attitude and training will be provided.

Sutton College is the Adult and Community Learning Provider for London Borough of Sutton.  We provide a range of qualifications and courses that meet the need of the local community and beyond.

We are looking for a candidate that will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) Service to both potential and existing clients ensuring that the highest possible standards of advice and guidance are rigorously maintained.  You will be responsible for preparing for an SFA audit of client files as and when required.

The candidate will work closely with the Prospects team to ensure that the terms of the contract are met and the targets achieved.

Qualifications required: Minimum Level 4 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance or willingness to achieve it within one year of starting
