Tutor/Assessor

 Customer Service Practitioner Level 3 and Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeships

Sutton College is extending its apprenticeship offer and is looking to recruit a tutor/assessor to deliver the Customer Service Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard and the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship Framework.

Previous experience of delivering customer service apprenticeships is preferred, along with an excellent understanding of the new Level 3 apprenticeship standard. A teaching qualification at Level 5 is also preferred.

This will be work-based learning, with tutor/assessor activity likely taking place at the apprentices’ workplace. It will be necessary for the successful candidate to travel in and around the borough to assess their apprentice.

The tutor/assessor will be allocated a block of hours per apprentice, paid at the corresponding Point/Band. These hours are flexible but there will be an expectation of at least one meeting per month with each apprentice.

For a Level 3 apprentice, the allocation will be 36 hours for assessment and 20 hours for tuition.

For a Level 2 apprentice, the allocation will be 24 hours for assessment and 17 hours for tuition.

Assessors will work with their apprentice for a period of between 12 months and 24 months, depending on the level of the apprenticeship.

The successful applicant will start working with apprentices this summer term.

British Sign Language

The MFL department at Sutton College delivers a variety of British Sign Language courses from accredited Level 1-3 to non-accredited courses.  We are looking to recruit an outstanding practitioner to join our superb team.

Due to the rising demand of British Sign Language we are looking to offer two classes one on Saturday daytime and one on Tuesday evening. This is an accredited course and will lead to the BSL signature Level 1 qualification.

Previous experience of delivering classes at this level and higher is vital.

Applicants must hold a teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
