Academic year 2018 – 2019

Sutton College are looking to recruit two tutors to co-deliver a CPCAB Level 6 Therapeutic Counselling Supervision Certificate. (Sutton College currently offer CPCAB courses from Level 2 to Level 5).

The course starts on Saturday 24th November and ends on Saturday 22nd June. Classes take place once per week at our Sutton centre.

The course has 92 Guided Learning Hours and these will be shared across the two tutors.

Applicants must meet all the tutor requirements stipulated by CPCAB (please see their website).

Minimum qualification requirements

420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 and above and 90 hours clinical supervision qualification or training at level 6 or above.

Personal therapy and professional accreditation

Minimum of 10 hours personal therapeutic counselling and Member of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy.

On-going CPD

30 hours per year CPD activities.

Minimum practice experience

2 years supervised counselling practice or minimum 450 counselling hours AND 2 years’ experience of providing supervision to groups and individuals in a counselling setting.

Minimum experience as a trainer/tutor

Teaching qualification AND 2 years teaching and assessing at level 3 and 4 or above.
