Join us and learn to create a portfolio of images to be proud of and build upon a nationally recognised qualification.
Learners on this course get Adobe Creative Cloud licence free for the duration of the course with an option to purchase an additional 6 months at a greatly reduced price.

This course is designed for students who wish to develop their skills in taking/making photographic images, giving emphasis on the principles of photo image capture.
The course also covers digital image manipulation skills using Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC.
It is also appropriate for students who wish to progress on to further study and training in the Photography discipline or to employment.
To develop a good understanding of your digital camera including the use of semi auto and manual modes, ISO, Aperture, Shutter speeds and how to combine them for a good exposure.
Whilst on the course you will also learn various techniques which typically include long exposures, portraits and continuous lighting.
You will also learn how to utilise basic image manipulation techniques including RAW processing, BW processing and layers.
Your tutor will give you more information about the course at your first session.
Classes will consist of both theory and practical tasks including setting up and planning for images.
Portfolio work is to be undertaken in your own time and homework will be required weekly.
There are strict deadlines for the completion and submission of work as set by NCFE.
This course also covers an introduction to British Values (learning aim 6033398)

You will need a DSLR/Mirrorless/Bridge camera, good literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills.
