This course is for anyone who loves coffee, wants to work in a local café or to apply for work in one of the big name coffee shop chains.

If you want to learn how to make a wide range of hot and cold drinks, and be a part of the one fastest growing employment opportunities in London, then this course is for you!

On this course you will learn to become a Barista, preparing and serving delicious hot and cold drinks, alongside serving small snacks. You will also learn how to use and look after equipment to make tea, hot chocolate, smoothies and juices, whilst learning the basics of front of house duties.

As a result of attending the course you will be able to:

* Display drink building techniques
* Clean and check equipment
* Demonstrate product knowledge
* Serve customers

You will develop a 'hands on' approach to your learning and gain practical skills, knowledge and understanding in basic barista skills. The skills, knowledge and understanding gained will help you prepare for working in a busy, café environment.

Learning Aim: Z0060110 - This course will also include guidance on using Google Classroom as part of your learning experience. You will learn how to access course information, communicate and collaborate with fellow learners, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your tutor.
This is a Level 2 course.

You will need to be working at Level 2 in your English skills to access the learning and complete the assessment tasks required.

If you do not achieve Level 2 in your English Skills Builder Assessment you must have a UK English Level 1 qualification or above. You will be asked to provide your certificates during the Course Approval Assessment.

This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and complete all assessment tasks to the required standard including a workbook demonstrating what you have learned.

Please bring a pen and paper to your class. Ensure you are wearing comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear for a practical course.

  • Bring copies of previous exam certificates
