Art can help improve your mental wellbeing.

This course is designed to offer a creative space within which learners can develop their art skills.

Learn how to improve your painting and drawing skills in order to develop a more individual style of painting. Try out a range of techniques with an emphasis on developing new skills to unlock your creativity.

Ideal for beginners who are curious about art and those with experience who want to develop further.


This course is especially for people who feel that taking time to be creative can help boost their wellbeing.

It’s designed to support anyone who may be experiencing feelings of stress, low mood, social isolation, or simply wants to use craft to look after their mental health and connect with others in a supportive environment.
You will learn how to apply oil paint over acrylic grounds, construct space, mix colour, construct compositions and improve design skills. You will gain confidence in your own creative style and expression. You will be introduced to new ways of seeing, thinking and working and you will be encouraged to develop your own individual styles and methods.

Your tutor will give you more information about the course at your first session.
This is an all abilities class for adults who wish to develop mental wellbeing. Beginners are welcome.

Once you have applied, we will review your application within 10 working days. You will then be notified of the outcome. Please note that places are limited and subject to availability.
