Enjoy a series of enlightening and inspiring talks on Art History. This session is being delivered by our Art History expert at Kenwood House, Hampstead Heath, London.
This one-off session invites learners to discover Kenwood House, a lesser-known treasure nestled in Hampstead Heath. With its elegant architecture and remarkable art collection, including works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Gainsborough, Kenwood offers a tranquil setting for exploring the intersection of art, history, and landscape. Learners will gain insight into the house’s history, its transformation into a public space, and the stories behind its collection, while enjoying the vast and beautiful natural setting of Hampstead Heath. The session will also reflect on the role of country houses in shaping cultural identity and access to art. Perfect for those seeking a quieter, more intimate art experience, this visit reveals the charm and significance of one of London’s hidden gems.
This course is open to all who have a keen interest in art history. Additional information Please bring a pen/paper and/or tablet/laptop if you want to make notes. Please wear comfortable shoes and let the College know of any accessibility issues to account for ahead of this session.
