If you looking to upskill and enhance any current beauty qualifications you have or are you thinking about a new vocation within the Beauty Industry then you should join this course.
The aim of this qualification is to support learners gain high level skills to work within the Beauty Therapy Industry.
If you have an interest, the enthusiasm and want to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies to work within a beauty salon, this course is right for you.
The aim of this qualification is to support learners gain high level skills to work within the Beauty Therapy Industry.

This course will cover the following mandatory units:
- Follow health and safety in the salon
- Client care and communication in beauty related industries
- Provide Facial Skin Care
- Manicure Treatments
- Pedicure Treatments
- Remove hair using waxing techniques
- Provide eyelash and brow treatments
Optional units will be agreed when you join the course.
You will be expected to attend College 2 days each week: Tuesdays 09:30 - 14:30 face to face in College , Wednesdays 09:30 - 13:30 face to face in College.
This course also covers an introduction to British Values (learning aim 60333984)

This course is a Level 2.
You will need to have appropriate levels of English skills in order to produce assignments necessary for this course.
The college requires you to have achieved or be working towards a level 1 English qualification or above.
A passion for the beauty and or complementary industry and a willingness to learn.
Competent IT skills
Well organised and ability to work to deadlines.
This course requires home study and research skills. You must have sufficient time at home that you can set aside to do homework, revision and practise.
You will be expected to work on your classmates, to practise and perform your practical treatments and agree to be worked on.
This course is open to both male and female learners.
Additional information: To practice at home you will need to purchase some items recommended by your tutor. Approximate cost c£60- £70.
If you are a fully funded learner these items will be purchased for you.
A suitably recognised student insurance to cover case studies of your practical treatments.
Suitable black clothing to create a uniform to wear in the salon. Your tutor will recommend where to purchase the items if you choose to buy them, or you can wear any suitable black clothing.
You will need to wear black flat closed in shoes in the salon- this will not be purchased for you.
