The aim of this qualification is to support learners to gain higher level skills to work within the beauty therapy industry. You will develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be expected to practise and perform beauty treatments on your classmates and also be willing to be practised on.

The VTCT Skills Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills by covering the following mandatory units:
* Facial skincare
* Waxing
* Eyelash and eyebrow treatments
* Manicure
* Pedicure
* Client care
* Health and safety
To further enhance your practical skills, optional units will be agreed when you join the course.
Learning Aim: Z0011145 - This course will also include guidance on using Google Classroom as part of your learning experience. You will learn how to access course information, communicate and collaborate with fellow learners, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your tutor.

This is a Level 2 course.
You will need to be working at Level 2 in your English skills to access the learning and complete the assessment tasks required.
If you do not achieve Level 2 in your English Skills Builder Assessment you must have a UK English Level 1 qualification or above. You will be asked to provide your certificates during the Course Approval Assessment.
This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and complete all assessment tasks to the required standard including a portfolio demonstrating what you have learned. You will also be required to complete question papers set by and marked by VTCT Skills. You will need to be competent using ICT as the papers will be completed electronically.
You will be expected to attend college 2 days each week.
This course is open to all.

Please bring a pen and paper to your class. Ensure you are wearing suitable black clothing and black flat closed shoes to create a uniform to wear in the salon.
