The “CAVA” is the only assessor qualification that allows you to practise as a fully-qualified assessor.

The VTCT Skills Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace, for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment.
Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally skills, knowledge and understanding (RQF)
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (RQF)
Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF)
This qualification does not require you to have any prior qualifications or levels of previous learning. This qualification could be a requirement for you to assess the competence of apprentices.
This qualification is mandatory for all permanent teaching staff at Sutton College. All other teaching staff have the option to participate in this training.
