This course is designed to increase your awareness and understanding of falls and their prevention, which will allow you to progress into or within employment in healthcare or social care settings.
It is the ideal next step after completing Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 1 Award (NCFE).
This course is designed to increase your awareness and understanding of falls and their prevention, which will allow you to progress into or within employment in healthcare or social care settings.
It is the ideal next step after completing Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 1 Award (NCFE).
The objective of the qualification is to allow learners to gain knowledge and understanding of the impact and consequences of a fall, risks and hazards which contribute to falls and reducing the risk of falls.
In this course you will complete the following mandatory units:
* Falls in context
* Understand the risk factors and causes of falls
* Falls assessment and prevention
* Managing falls
You will be required to produce a portfolio which contains completed tasks with ongoing feedback provided by the tutor.
Your tutor will give you more information about the course in your first session.
Learning Aim: Z0011145 - This course will also include guidance on using Google Classroom as part of your learning experience. You will learn how to access course information, communicate and collaborate with fellow learners, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your tutor.

This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and complete all assessment tasks to the required standard.
