You will be taught the techniques and tricks of the trade, how to prepare for events and occasions.
You will learn how to price, register for self-employment and gain the understanding of taxes for business as well as how to promote your business to get customers.
You can join the commercial side and earn just a little extra or turn your whole career around and build a full-time business.

This course aims to:
- Give you the skills needed to create a range of floral arrangements suitable for the commercial market
- Understand product terminology
- Give you the tools to plan, prepare and present your service to clients
This course also covers an introduction to British Values (learning aim 6033398)
- Give you the skills needed to create a range of floral arrangements suitable for the commercial market

You do not need to be an accomplished florist to do this course.
The course is designed to support even complete beginners.
The main focus is on you having the desire to progress and being able to learn the skills to make commercially suitable floral arrangements and be able to command the correct market value and operate successfully in this business space.
There will be 4 - 6 hours of homework set each week on average to complete workbooks and produce portfolios of your work.
Additional information: You will not need to purchase anything for this course as all materials will be provided.
If you choose you can bring: Florist’s scissors, Apron, Camera to photograph the items you make (you will make items from day 1), A large bag or trolley to transport your designs.
Any course enrichment opportunities associated with this class will be listed in your Google classroom.
