Do you feel overwhelmed by constant news of cyber scams, data breaches, and mysterious links? You don’t need to be an IT expert to protect yourself online.

This practical, 4-week short course (2 hours per week) is tailor-made for absolute beginners who want to reclaim their digital confidence. In a relaxed, jargon-free environment, you will learn how hackers think, what they are looking for, and—most importantly—the simple,
everyday habits you can adopt to keep your personal data, identity, and devices safe.
Understanding how hackers use deceptive emails, urgent text messages (SMS scams), and fake phone calls to trick you.

Practical exercises on how to read a web address (URL) and spot the subtle red flags of a scam before you click.

Moving past weak passwords (like birthdays or pet names) without forgetting how to log in.
How to create a "passphrase" and a beginner-friendly introduction to password managers and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Simple steps to secure your smartphone, tablet, and home Wi-Fi network.

The hidden dangers of using public Wi-Fi at coffee shops or airports, and how to browse safely while out and about.
This is a basic introduction course but learners should have English language skills and some IT skills (how to use a mouse and how to open a document).
You can book directly on to this class by simply clicking the ‘Add to Basket’ button and accessing our online booking process.
