This is an exciting course in which you will develop the skills you need to plan, design and produce magazines to be shared both digitally and in hard copy.

This is an exciting course in which you will develop the skills you need to plan, design and produce magazines to be shared both digitally and in hard copy.

The course will run for 3 days each week; Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

You will learn how to take photographs, build your communication skills in a variety of ways, interview people, write articles and gain the confidence that is required to get into employment.

If you have an EHCP this course is ideal for addressing a range of educational needs identified within your plan.

This course sits within the Employability Pathways for the SEND department.

Upon completion of this course, you will have gained skills sufficient to consider work placement.
You will be supported to find a work placement for the end of the summer term.

NOTE: The qualification achievements are based on the progression of individual learners through the functional skills assessments throughout the academic year.
You will need to have already achieved entry level 1 in English and Maths and be able to use a computer.

You will need to have the desire to be a part of the product team and be prepared to work hard to meet the deadlines to produce a magazine of good quality.
