The Introduction to Hospitality (SEND) (NCFE) course is designed for adult learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who are interested in exploring the exciting world of the hospitality industry.
This course will introduce learners to the basics of the hospitality industry, including:
- An introduction to the hospitality sector and its various roles
- Customer service essentials and communication skills
- Basic food safety and hygiene practices
- Understanding the importance of teamwork in hospitality settings
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively
- Introduction to the skills needed for roles such as front-of-house staff, kitchen assistants, and event coordinators

The course will help you develop transferable skills for a variety of customer-facing roles in the hospitality industry. successful completion of the course will lead to an NCFE qualification.Additional informationNo prior knowledge or experience in hospitality is required.Learners should bring a notebook and pen to each session.
A small materials fee may apply, which will be communicated prior to the start date.

This course is designed for anyone interested in exploring a career in hospitality or improving their understanding of the industry.
This course also covers an introduction to British Values (learning aim Z0060047)
This course is ideal for adult learners with SEND, especially those with no prior experience in the hospitality field.

There are no specific qualifications required for entry.
Basic English skills to follow instructions and communicate effectively would be helpful, but the course is designed to be accessible and beginner-friendly.
