Art History Club – 200 years of great Art at the National Gallery

This inspiring one-off session invites learners to explore the rich history and cultural significance of The National Gallery, celebrating over 200 years of sharing great art with the public. Through a guided visit and expert-led discussion, participants will delve into the origins of the collection, the vision behind its founding, and how it has evolved to reflect changing tastes, values, educational missions, and the digital age.

Learners will encounter masterpieces from the Renaissance to Impressionism, gaining insight into how the Gallery has shaped public access to art and contributed to national identity.
