Then this course could be ideal for you.
It aims to develop learners’ knowledge and awareness of dementia. As a result of completing this course you could then progress to higher study in Health and Social Care or progress into employment in social care settings.

It aims to develop learners’ knowledge and awareness of dementia. As a result of completing this course you could then progress to higher study in Health and Social Care or progress into employment in social care settings.
In this course you will develop an understanding and awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. You will complete the following mandatory units:
* Understand the process and experience of dementia
* Understand the administration of medication to individuals with dementia using a person-centred approach
* Understand the role of communication and interactions with individuals who have dementia
* Understand the diversity of individuals with dementia and the importance of inclusion
You will be required to produce a portfolio which contains completed tasks with ongoing feedback provided by the tutor.
Your tutor will give you more information about the course in your first session.
Learning Aim: Z0011145 - This course will also include guidance on using Google Classroom as part of your learning experience. You will learn how to access course information, communicate and collaborate with fellow learners, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your tutor.

You will need to be working at GCSE English Grade 3 as a minimum to access the learning and produce the assignments required.
If you do not achieve English Grade 3 in your GCSE Skills Builder Assessment you must have a UK English Level 2 qualification or above. You will be asked to provide your certificates during the Course Approval Assessment.
This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and complete all assessment tasks to the required standard.
