This course provides a gentle introduction to using computers, helping SEND adult learners develop essential digital skills for everyday life.

The focus is on building confidence with technology, supporting independence, and making tasks like communication, online safety, and everyday digital interactions easier.

The course is taught in a supportive, step-by-step approach with plenty of practical exercises.

* Basic computer skills: turning a computer on/off, using a mouse and keyboard

* Understanding and navigating the internet safely

* Sending emails and using online communication tools

* Using word processing software to create simple documents

* Online safety and protecting personal information

* Accessing useful websites for everyday life, such as online shopping and banking

* Using computers for work-related tasks and job searching Additional information Learners will be encouraged to practice at home to build confidence. The course is designed to be interactive, with plenty of individual support and adaptations for different learning needs. Digital devices may be provided for practice during the course. Completing

This is an entry-level course, designed for SEND adult learners with little or no prior experience using computers.

No previous knowledge of computers is required.

The course is fully accessible, with visual aids, simple instructions, and hands-on practice to support different learning styles.

A basic understanding of reading and following instructions will be helpful, but support is available for those who need additional assistance.
